Hello Silverwood/Travel Ensemble Band Families!

The countdown to Silverwood has begun…We leave this Friday, May 17th @12:30pm!

Below is information regarding dress rehearsal, departure day, and what to bring. An updated itinerary is attached for your reference.

Dress Rehearsal—Thursday, May 16th @7-8:30pm
This rehearsal is REQUIRED by all Silverwood/Travel Ensemble members. Students should arrive to the Band Room 15-minutes prior to the start of rehearsal and be ready to begin promptly at the start time listed. Mr. Morris will be taking attendance. This rehearsal is 90-minutes.

Departure Day
Students are encouraged to bring their luggage school Friday morning. Luggage will be stored in the Band Room during school. School bags can be left in Mr. Morris’ office over the weekend and picked when the group returns to GP Sunday afternoon.

Students are to report to the Band Room IMMEDIATELY after school to gather luggage, instruments, and any additional items. Students will work with chaperones to load Charter Buses for departure @12:30pm.

What to Bring
Money for 3 meals—Friday (dinner), Saturday (lunch in the park), and Sunday (brunch in Ellensburg)

Sunscreen—weather is expected to be sunny and warm

Concert Attire—“Business Casual” Black—there is very little opportunity to change prior to arriving/entering Silverwood. Mr. Morris has encouraged the kids to wear concert attire they can wear in the park, layer appropriately, and bring a backpack with essentials for the day. (Black shoes for the performance REQUIRED. Comfortable walking shoes for Silverwood RECOMMENDED.)

Chaperones
Special thank you to some amazing parents who have volunteered to chaperone this special trip. You should have received an email from Mr. Morris yesterday with important trip details. If you did not receive the email or have any questions, please contact Mr. Morris directly at tadd.morris@sno.wednet.edu.

On Friday, Chaperones need to arrive at GP just before noon and check-in with Char in the Main Office to finalize your approved volunteer status.
