Saturday, January 20th Swing Dance
Jazz Bands I & II
The Swing Dance is an annual GP Band Booster fundraising event that is open to the public and features live music from GPHS Jazz Bands I & II, the VVMS Jazz Band, and an hour of professional swing dance lessons to start the evening.
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer OR provide treats & drinks! However, we still need Gluten Free snacks/treats and parent VOLUNTEERS to help make this event successful. Donations of snacks and treats are needed to stock the concession stand. Volunteers are needed for set-up, decorating, ticketing, manning the concession stand and Italian Soda Bar, and clean-up at the end of the event. If you are interested in donating and/or volunteering, please visit grizzlyband.org/volunteer to sign-up. Thank you in advance for supporting your band student and the GPHS and VVMS Band Programs.

Swing Dance Event Schedule
3:30pm GP Rhythm & Sax players arrive to help set up
4:30 – 5:30pm Dessert Donations delivered to the GP Commons
5:30pm Remaining GP Band members arrive
6:00 – 7:00pm Swing Dance Lesson
7:00pm LIVE music begins
9:30pm GP Trumpets & Trombone players stay for cleanup
Tuesday, January 23rd 6:30-9pm
Grizzly Pep Band
GBB—Students should arrive to the Band Room by 6:30pm and check in for attendance. Grizzly Pep Band will head over to the gym prior to the start of the game. Required uniform is Grizzly Band T-shirt.
Thursday, January 25th 7-8pm GPAC
Jazz Bands I & II
Winter Concert—Students should arrive @6:30pm in concert attire and be ready to begin at 7pm.
Friday, January 26th 6:30-9pm
Grizzly Pep Band
BBB—Students should arrive to the Band Room by 6:30pm and check in for attendance. Grizzly Pep Band will head over to the gym prior to the start of the game. Required uniform is Grizzly Band T-shirt.
Friday, January 26th
Travel Ensemble – Silverwood Deposit Due
Band students interested in participating in this year’s optional Band Trip to Silverwood Friday, May 17th-Sunday, May 19th need to reserve their spot by Friday, January 26th. A $150 non-refundable deposit must be paid to the GPHS Bookkeeper online or in person by this date. Please refer to the email from Mr. Morris for complete details including permission slips and itinerary.
