Hello GP Band Families!

Below is a list of upcoming events to put on your calendar. The events are listed in date order and indicate which band(s) are called below the date. Stay current with the GP Band Happenings by following the GPHS Band Boosters on Facebook and Instagram or visit grizzlyband.org.

Wednesday, November 8th  7-8pm  GPAC
Jazz Bands I & II 
Fall Concert—Students should arrive @6:30pm in concert attire and be ready to begin at 7pm.

Friday, November 10th  9:30am-noon
Grizzly Band 
Mill Creek Veterans Day Parade—Grizzly Band to march in parade. Students should arrive at GP @9:30am to change into uniforms and board busses to LA Fitness (Mill Creek Town Center) parade staging area. After the parade, students will return to GP to change out of and hang uniforms. Remember to wear black socks and all black shoes. Attendance will be taken in the Band Room hallway. Students should return to GP by noon. Volunteer needs: Bus Chaperones (we need 2 additional parent volunteers) will help coordinate loading and unloading of busses to and from Mill Creek, help maintain order in staging area prior start of parade, and direct students return to busses after parade. Jazz Bands I & II 
Northshore Jazz Festival—Students and Volunteers should arrive at GPHS at 10:30am to load instruments and busses and be ready to depart at 10:50am. For complete details, itinerary, and permission slip, please refer to the email from Mr. Morris. Permission slips are due Friday, November 17th. The transportation fee of $25 should be paid to the GPHS Bookkeeper in person or online. Volunteer needs: Bus Chaperones (2) will help coordinate loading and unloading of busses to and from Northshore Performing Arts Center located at Bothell High School. If you have a van, truck, or SUV, we need your help transporting 2 large Bass instruments to and from the venue. Visit grizzlyband.org/volunteer to signup.

Grizzly Band 
GBB & BBB—Mark your calendars for the start of Basketball Season. Grizzly Pep Band will play at 10 home basketball games starting November 29th. Volunteer needs: Concession Stand Workers (4-6 adults/students) needed to run the basketball concession stand. At least one adult must have a food handler permit. More info coming soon.

Student Band Hoodies are on sale now—November 17th!!
The Student Band Hoody is a Navy Hooded Sweatshirt with screen-printed “Grizzly Band” logo on front and “Paw” logo on sleeve. The cost is $37 for sizes S – XL ($45 for 2XL). Printed name on the back is optional and is an additional $9. This year, we’ve created an online order form to accept credit card payments AND a printable order form for cash/check payments. Cash payments should be exact change, checks should be made payable to “GP Band Boosters.” Paper orders with proper payment can be given to Char in the main office, (NOT the bookkeeper). Please DO NOT give any order forms/payments to Mr. Morris. Orders will be accepted thru Friday, November 17th to ensure delivery before Winter Break.

Jazz Band parent VOLUNTEERS needed for Swing Dance Planning Committee
The Swing Dance is an annual GP Band Booster fundraising event that is open to the public and features live music from GPHS Jazz Bands I & II, the VVMS Jazz Band, and an hour of professional swing dance lessons to start the evening. This year's event takes place Saturday, January 20th in the GP Commons. Jazz Band parent volunteers are needed to help fine tune the details for this year's event and begin promoting the event to the public. If you are interested in volunteering, please visit grizzlyband.org/volunteer to sign-up or email the boosters at gphsbandboosters@gmail.com.
