Wow – what a fantastic last day of Band Camp! These kids are truly something special, and I’m so proud of all they’ve accomplished this week.
We kicked off the day with band pictures – everyone did such an amazing job getting ready and looking their best. We even took the time to get names for the yearbook and make sure everything was organized. All the photos are ready for you to view and download –Â DOWNLOAD PICTURES HERE!!
After a good morning of practice, snacks, and our final camp lunch, we made sure every student received their official Grizzly Band shirt out on the field.
One of the day’s most memorable moments came when the underclassmen performed while the seniors cheered from the bleachers. Afterwards, Coach Robin gathered the seniors and gave a heartfelt pep talk, reminding them: “Look at them – they are your legacy. When you leave, you won’t take this with you. You’ll be leaving it with them to continue the traditions you’ve built.” I’ll admit… I started tearing up listening to her words.
I want to take a moment to say how grateful I am for our incredible parents. You have made band camp such a special experience for our students – sharing your time, talents, energy, treats, love, and support. We truly couldn’t do this without you – and neither could they.
