Band Camp Day 2 Recap – What a Fantastic Day!

Hi Band Families,

We wrapped up Day 2 of Band Camp and it was a great one!

We’re excited to share that uniform fittings are officially complete – woohoo! Big thank you to Sarah McKinney, our uniform coordinator, and her small-but-mighty army of volunteers. Everyone is now suited up and ready to go. Thank you to everyone who helped make that process smooth and fun!

This morning’s field rehearsal went beautifully. The weather was on our side, and the students gave it their all. After a well-earned lunch and snack break, we regrouped in the PAC to go over our music.

The students then split into sectionals to dive deeper into their parts – and we even had a quick pause while the school tested the electronic announcement system for the fire alarms.

We ended the day with a refreshing popsicle break (a camp favorite!) – Thanks to the amazing families that donated snacks!!

And before heading home, students who hadn’t yet picked up their Band Camp t-shirts got theirs today. These are different from the “Grizzly Band T-Shirt” which is the uniform for assemblies and basketball games. Those will be handed out on Friday.

To cap off the day, our awesome drumline treated us to some cadences – it was the perfect way to finish strong!

Everyone did an amazing job staying organized, grabbing their water bottles and snacks, and getting ready for tomorrow. We’re so proud of how hard they’re working and how much spirit they’re showing.

See you all bright and early for Day 3! Remember we're meeting at the field – UNLESS it's raining – look for the A-frame signs.

Go Grizzlies!
