How to get involved (and we need you!)

Are you looking for a way to get involved, meet great people, and support the biggest club at GP? The GPHS Band Boosters are actively looking for new board members and event coordinators – and we’d love to have you on the team.

Right now, we have an open Co-Secretary position on the board. It’s a great way to step in and learn the ropes. And since both Co-Presidents are senior parents, we’ll need to pass the baton soon – making this a perfect time to get involved and grow into a leadership role.

Not ready for a board seat? No problem! We’re also looking for event coordinators for several exciting upcoming events:

  • Swing Dance (January) – This fun event is transitioning to take the place of Tolo this year and will need fresh energy and ideas.
  • Dallas Brass Residency (January) – This nationally known group will work with our bands during the day and give an unforgettable evening performance.
  • Drumline Competition (May) – A lively and well-attended event that showcases talent from across the region.
  • Snohomish Valley Jazz Festival (Late May/June) – A local favorite that brings in strong participation and great music.

A lot of folks are hesitant to take on a coordinator role – but here’s the secret: it’s not hard. Most events follow a well-worn playbook, and you won’t be flying solo. You’ll be supported by a friendly, experienced team who are more than happy to walk you through the process.

The band program thrives because of volunteers like you. And honestly? It’s a ton of fun.

Interested? Reach out to president@grizzlyband.org or talk to any of the current board members. We’ll get you plugged in and make sure you’re set up for success.

Let’s make some noise – together!
