Outside of our board there has been a core team of parents that have made important, material contributions that have made this year amazing.Given the context of the March meeting, it was not inappropriate at all for Andrew to make an offer regarding the Silverwood volunteer needs. The meeting minutes reflect accurately what was discussed. As was the request by Tadd to get a quote for video services. You are correct that the reading of the previous meeting’s minutes is customarily first on the agenda and we should ensure this procedure is followed. Robert’s Rules (RONR (12th ed.) 41:10 (page 336)) says a formal motion to approve is not necessary, however one was made and was approved unanimously by members in attendance. If you have any objections or changes you’d like to introduce please do so Tuesday.JasonOn Apr 14, 2024, at 7:32 PM, Mike graves <gravesma@hotmail.com> wrote:
Sorry for the delay in getting my feedback out. Please read the following comments regarding the meeting notes:

This is inappropriate. All volunteers need to be considered before commitments are made. This is not our protocol. Please remove from notes.
Bullet 3
There is no need for volunteers for the green room. They will have nothing to do, and we have not had any in recent years. I will take care of food in my discussions with Joel.
Delay video recording until next year. Joel sent out the fee schedule before reviewing with Boosters. Last year we were on track to make 2500 until we got a bill from District for 1500 for facility use. If we pay Kimberly’s kid to video, we may lose money.
Secretary’s Report: Kimberly SkrindeBullet 1
It’s my understanding that per Roberts Rules meeting notes are a) first on the Agenda, and b) not officially meeting minutes until all Board members agree. That has been our practice.
New & Unfinished Business
Bullet 2, adding board members
What is the purpose of this and what benefit would it be to the Club? Do the other clubs have volunteer coordinators on their Board? The way to achieve this under Roberts Rules is to Make them Directors at Large. If it happens, it should be limited to core volunteers’ positions, uniform and fundraising.
Treasurers report items:
For auditing purposes all clinicians paid by the Booster Club need employment agreements. Invoices from clinicians to include dates and times of service and come directly from the individual. W-9 should be obtained from any clinician who receives a 1099 from the Club. I have a list.
Thanks

I agree, there’s nothing pressing that couldn’t wait a bit. Would same time next week work for everyone?

I am ok with delaying if that’s what your getting at. I haven’t read minutes or done monthly reports.

Subject: April Board Meeting
Hello all!
Hope you had a nice Spring Break. Our April Board meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday 4/9 @7pm in the Band Room.
Please send me any agenda items. March minutes attached for your reference.
Personally, I feel like I could use more than 24 hours to put some things together for the meeting, but that’s just me. In addition, please note that the Drama Club will be rehearsing for opening night from 2:30-9:30.
Thank you in advance for your input.Kimberly
